Joseph Roy has been appointed as Cluster Director of Finance at Fairmont Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road, Ajman and Fujairah

Roy, who has a qualification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, brings substantial operational finance experience with internationally recognised brands.

Previously, he held the director of finance position at UAE hotels including Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, Hilton Al Habtoor City complex, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort & Spa, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Abu Dhabi, The Yas Hotel (now W Abu Dhabi, Yas Island), and Grand Millennium Dubai.

According to his new employers, his expertise lies in implementing financial management strategies that result in significant cost and efficiency improvements, revenue growth, and enhanced financial performance.

His responsibilities include financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, compliance, risk management, process improvement, procurement, decision-making, and stakeholder relations. Roy aims to transform the finance function into a strategic business partner, enhancing financial planning and analysis while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong financial controls.
