Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has announced the appointment of Anzhelika Chekhlova as its new director of sales. ‌

Chekhlova, a Russian national, brings with her over 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a track record of delivering results and ensuring customer satisfaction.

‌Before joining Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, she was the director of sales - leisure at Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the leisure sales strategy and performance for multiple properties in Dubai, including the renowned Anantara Dubai The Palm and Anantara World Islands Resort.

Her role involved developing sales strategies, maintaining relationships with key and target accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue targets. She successfully introduced and developed new markets with zero initial production, transforming them into primary revenue generators.

With a bachelor's degree from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Chekhlova's career spans various luxury markets, having successfully managed and expanded leisure sales portfolios for prestigious international brands including the Banyan Tree Group, Kempinski Hotels, and Savoy Resort & Spa Seychelles. Known for her strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and marketing ideas, she is set to bring a fresh perspective to the resort's sales team, says the property.
