Novotel Dubai Al Barsha has appointed Sruthy Sadanandan as cluster hygiene & sustainability officer.

Sruthy Sadanandan

With over five years of experience across hospitality, retail, and food manufacturing, Sadanandan's background will help her elevate the hotel's commitment to exceptional hygiene standards and eco-conscious operations.

Sadanandan's career in quality and hygiene management began in 2018 when she joined ABAD Group in India as a quality assurance executive, gaining practical experience in food safety management, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with international standards in the seafood production industry.

She later advanced her knowledge as a quality assurance officer with Big Basket, a TATA Group enterprise, where she oversaw food safety in a high-volume retail setting. By 2022, Sadanandan moved to Dubai as a hygiene officer at Ramada by Wyndham, where she led food safety systems in the hotel's culinary division as HACCP Team Leader, ensuring strict hygiene protocols and earning high safety ratings in health audits.

Now, as the cluster hygiene & sustainability officer at Novotel Dubai Al Barsha, Sadanandan will be responsible for hygiene management and sustainability efforts.

Her extensive qualifications, ranging from HACCP certifications to an FSSC 22000 Internal Auditor certification, equip her with the expertise to lead both safety and sustainability initiatives. Sadanandan's focus will not only be on maintaining impeccable hygiene standards but also on introducing eco-friendly practices aimed at minimising waste and lowering the hotel's overall environmental impact.
