Taj Dubai has promoted Ashok Kapur to area director of sales and marketing Middle East and director of sales and marketing Taj Dubai. Kapur has over two decades experience in the luxury hotel industry working across South-East Asia, India, and the Middle East. Kapur has worked prestigious roles with renowned brands including, Hilton, Hyatt, Radisson, Marriott, Virgin Atlantic, and American Express.

At Taj Dubai, Kapur has been key in driving the MICE business and leading Global Market Sales for the Middle East. One of his most notable achievements is the revamp of the events and group business at Taj Dubai. He has introduced flexible and bespoke e-service models, enhancing client presentations, and reimagining guest experiences through creative displays and interactive culinary options.

Kapur has conceptualised and launched "GALA by Taj Dubai", an outdoor catering service that generated over AED 1.8 million in revenue in its first year, and approximately AED 4.8 million since 2021. His vision extended to partnerships with mega sporting events, such as the World Tennis League and the World Paddle League.

Kapur's introduced the Revenue Tracker Update System have streamlined operations, improved conversion rates and reducing response times, thus enhancing efficiency. His efforts have resulted in prestigious accounts including, Harvard Business School and CS Global becoming integral parts of Taj Dubai's portfolio.
