Sydney Stranger has been appointed as Culinary Director at Park Hyatt Dubai

Park Hyatt Dubai, a world-renowned luxury destination celebrated for its exceptional dining and hospitality experiences, has announced the promotion of Sydney Stranger to director of culinary. In his new role, Stranger will oversee both culinary and F&B operations at the resort.

Leading a team of over 240 professionals, Stranger now oversees 15 diverse restaurants, exclusive private dining experiences, and high-profile events, ensuring that Park Hyatt Dubai remains a leader in luxury gastronomy.

A doer in every sense of the word, Stranger has been at the heart of many of Park Hyatt Dubai's successes. Under his leadership, the resort's Traiteur Brunch was awarded "Best Brunch in Dubai" for two consecutive years, among a host of other accolades. His relentless commitment to quality, innovation, and execution has set new benchmarks in the region's luxury dining scene.

With over 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Stranger has built an impressive career spanning some of the world's most prestigious kitchens and luxury hotels. Before joining Park Hyatt Dubai, he held leadership roles at Jumeirah Group, where he was executive chef at Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf, overseeing multiple fine dining outlets, private dining experiences, and large-scale catering operations. His tenure at Jumeirah also included leading culinary teams at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Wild Wadi Waterpark, where he played a key role in menu development, HACCP compliance, and concept innovation. If there is one thing that defines Strangers, it's his work ethic. He has a hands-on and solutions-driven approach. He ensures every detail is executed to perfection.

Stranger's experience also extends to pre-opening expertise, having played a pivotal role in launching culinary concepts for Zabeel House Dubai, where he led multiple hotel openings under the Jumeirah flag. Prior to his tenure in the UAE, Sydney honed his craft in London's luxury dining scene, working at The Westbury Mayfair, Charlotte Street Hotel, and Clos Maggiore, where he developed his expertise in fine dining, menu engineering, and high-end guest experiences.

As director of culinary, Stranger will continue to drive innovation, quality, and guest satisfaction, cementing Park Hyatt Dubai's reputation as one of the city's most sought-after luxury dining destinations.
