W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island appoints Spencer Wadama as its new general manager.
Wadama moves from SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, where he has been general manager since its pre-opening phase, and was instrumental in the hotels successful launch. He also played a pivotal role in high-profile collaborations at the hotel, collaborating with well-known artists including Akon and will.i.am, which helped elevate the hotels status as a leading lifestyle and experiential brand.
In addition, Wadama facilitated collaborations with brands such as Operation Smile, Fresh on Table Farm, and the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, reinforcing his commitment to sustainability and community.
With nearly thirty years in the industry, Wadama brings a wealth of luxury hospitality experience across some of the world's most prestigious hotel brands to the role. He has a proven track record of improving operations, enhancing guest experience, and leading high-performing teams. He has held key leadership positions at renowned brands including, The Ritz-Carlton, Emaar Hospitality, Armani Hotel, and Jumeriah Group.
