Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre has appointed Fadeel G. Wehbe as managing director.
Wehbe brings over three decades of experience in the international hospitality sector, with a career spanning leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont, Pullman, Sheraton and Starwood across the Middle East and North Africa.
Prior to this role, he was multi-property general manager for five Marriott hotels in Dubai, where he managed a portfolio of over 1,200 rooms, 29 F&B outlets and a workforce of 1,200 employees.
Wehbe's experience includes leading hotel pre-openings, overseeing large-scale operations and improving guest satisfaction. His focus on operational systems and service delivery is expected to support the strategic goals of Sofitel Riyadh as it prepares to open its flagship Saudi property.
The upcoming Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre features 388 rooms and suites, a convention centre spanning over 10,000 square metres and various dining and wellness facilities. The property is positioned to host major events, including business conferences, royal gatherings and high-profile functions.
