Albert spent seven years at Mews, where he worked with hotel customers across Southern Europe, Benelux and the Nordics. Before moving into hospitality technology, he spent more than a decade working inside hotels and rose to General Manager. His appointment comes as the role of AI in hotel operations begins to change. The first generation of hospitality AI largely focused on answering questions and helping employees draft responses. Altek is building AI that goes a step further: perform operational actions such as creating, modifying and cancelling reservations, while optimizing for revenue conversion. That shift makes successful AI adoption as much an operational challenge as a technical one.

When AI only helps someone write an email, adoption is relatively straightforward. When AI starts doing the actual work, trust, implementation and understanding how a hotel really operates become critical. Albert has been on both sides of that transformation. He has run hotels himself and spent years helping hotels adopt new technology. That’s exactly the experience we want as we scale. Jon-Fredrik Hopland, co-founder of Altek AI

Altek AI now works with more than 100 hotels in 8 countries. The company is expanding both its product capabilities and its customer organization as it grows across European hotel markets. For Altek, Albert’s appointment is part of a broader ambition to make customer success a core competitive advantage as AI takes on more operational work inside hotels.

I’ve spent my career on both sides of hospitality technology, first operating hotels and later helping hotels adopt new systems. What excites me about Altek is that they are now moving from being another tool employees use to actually taking work off their plate. Getting that transition right requires more than good technology. It requires a deep understanding of how hotels operate and how teams adopt change. Albert Arranz Tomas, Head of Customer Success at Altek AI

As Head of Customer Success, Albert will lead Altek’s customer success organization, working with hotel groups on onboarding, adoption and measurable commercial and operational outcomes. His experience across Southern Europe, Benelux and the Nordics also supports Altek’s continued expansion across Europe.

We don’t want to build great AI and simply hand it over to a hotel. Our ambition is to become exceptionally good at helping hotel teams put AI into operation and create measurable results from it. We want to build the best customer success organization in hotel technology, and bringing Albert onboard is a major step toward that. Kristoffer Pedersen, co-founder of Altek AI
