INTERGASTRA 2014

Jan 31 - Feb 4, 2014
New Trade Fair Centre Stuttgart (Airport)
Stuttgart, Germany

The quality of the trade fair will be boosted considerably by this modern infrastructure which will provide exhibitors with first-class facilities to properly pre¬sent their goods and services to trade visitors on suitably sized exhibition stands. The cramped conditions in Killesberg will therefore be a thing of the past. Planning of the stands will start in the next few days. According to tradition, INTERGASTRA will be the first hotel and restaurant trade fair in Germany in 2012 and will act as a trend ba¬rometer solely for the hotel, restaurant and confectionery trades. Everything related to the good things in life will be shown in six exhibition halls each with an area of 10,000 square metres – by comparison, Killesberg had a total area of around 54,000 square metres. The organisers are looking forward to 2012 with more than optimism on account of the number of registrations received to date. However, one thing is al¬ready certain: INTERGASTRA 2008 is once again on the road to success.

In the past, INTERGASTRA confirmed and extended its position as a trend and inno¬vation trade fair. But that’s not all: by presenting a full range of products and services, the restaurant trade fair in Stuttgart will once again live up to its reputation as the most important marketplace with the highest turnover for “gastrobusiness” in south¬ern Germany. The exhibition programme will feature all food and beverages, raw materials, deep-frozen and convenience products, and work equipment and produc¬tion engineering with the emphasis on (large) kitchen equipment and refrigeration, air-conditioning and environmental engineering. Fixtures and fittings for hotels and restaurants, sales promotion through industry-specific printed matter, clothing, ser¬vices, information and management will round off the first-class range of products and services at INTERGASTRA. Associations, organisations and institutions will be on hand with expert personnel for discussions and talks on current special topics. These organisations primarily include the professional and promotional supporters of INTERGASTRA, i.e. the Baden-Württemberg branch of the German Hotel and Res¬taurant Association (DEHOGA), and the Regional Association of Guilds of Baden-Württemberg Confectioners. INTERGASTRA will also be publicised and supported by the joint appearance of branches of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association from the Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland. The DEHOGA presentation will take place at the new venue in Hall 5 while the Confectioners’ Forum will be held directly opposite in Hall 6. The Regional Association of Guilds of Baden-Württem¬berg Confectioners will demonstrate tempting ideas for cafés, bistros, patisseries and confectioners’ shops. Confectioners will also take part in the German qualifying round for the “Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2009” in Lyons.
