The Hospitality Summit, organised annually by HotellerieSuisse in Switzerland, is the leading meeting place for the country's hotel and wider hospitality community. Each year it brings together hoteliers, suppliers, investors, educators and policymakers to discuss the most pressing strategic, operational and societal issues facing the industry. With a programme that blends keynotes, panel discussions, best practice cases and networking, the Hospitality Summit explores themes such as labour and education, sustainability, digitalisation, profitability and Switzerland's positioning as a hospitality destination. It is a platform for inspiration, knowledge sharing and dialogue that helps decision makers navigate change and shape the future of Swiss hospitality.
2026 Review
The Hospitality Summit took place in Bern for the first time in 2026, marking the 6th edition of the most important industry gathering for the Swiss accommodation sector. With the move to the Festhalle Bern, a new chapter was opened — and the event’s premiere in the federal capital was successfully launched.
Over two intensive days, 2,100 executives, hosts, professionals, and partners from the hotel, restaurant, and tourism industries came together. The Summit offered a central platform for exchange, knowledge transfer, and concrete inspiration for the further development of the industry.
The focus was on the current challenges facing hospitality: the shortage of skilled workers, sustainable transformation, digital innovation, and future-proof business models. High-profile speakers and panel discussions provided practical perspectives and concrete solutions for day-to-day operations.
A special highlight was the networking arena, featuring more than 144 partners across around 4,500 m², where innovations, technologies, and services were presented. Direct exchange between the industry, education, and partners shaped the atmosphere of the Summit and led to new contacts and collaborations.
The cooperation between HotellerieSuisse and GastroSuisse also made a significant contribution to the further development of the format and strengthened the cross-sector character of the event.
