HVS, together with our friends at Bird & Bird (lawyers) and The Leaders’ Journey (strategic collective), are delighted to present our next webinar on Tuesday 8 December. Entitled “Design Drives Hotel Guest Experience and Bottom Line” it will focus on how hotels should be designed to meet the expectations of guests while remaining commercially successful.

The webinar will explore the relationship between design, guest experience, operational efficiency and profitability. Bringing together perspectives from architects, interior designers, hotel brands, developers, owners, lenders and investors, we will consider how changing guest needs, innovative room configurations, sustainability and the smarter use of space will influence the design of future hotels.

We will consider how hotels will need to evolve the presentation of their facilities and amenities in the coming years in order to achieve the dual goals of meeting both guests’ expectations and investors’ returns. How will bedrooms and bathrooms need to evolve? What can be done to make more of potentially redundant spaces to improve a hotel’s earnings per square metre? Is it possible to restore the ‘wow’ factor viably? Can hotel brands introduce changes to their brand standards and maintain the goodwill of their owners?

We will kick off with presentations by Inge Moore, internationally acclaimed interior designer and co-founder of London-based design studio Muza Lab, and by Robbie Bargh, founder of the Gorgeous Group. They will be followed by a lively panel discussion to be chaired by Simon Price, Partner and International Head of Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure at Bird & Bird. Panellists include Federico Toresi (Accor), Emma Young (AIB Group), Ufi Ibrahim (Energy & Environmental Alliance), Shan Kanagasingham (Iconic Hotels), and Dexter Moren (Studio Moren).
