Choice Hotels International Inc.'s (CHH) first-quarter earnings fell 3.2% as the downscale hotel-chain operator saw a benchmark metric continue to fall by double digits percentage-wise. Economy and midscale hotels were more resilient in the economic downturn than other travel companies, but Choice Hotels' results have lagged the stabilization seen at other hotels as the economy begins to revive.
