Ms. Al Dosari, 30 years old, chose Marriott's Residence Inn on Sixth Avenue and 39th Street that caters to extended-stay travelers. Most rooms have kitchenettes and living-room areas so guests don't feel that they're hanging out all the time in a bedroom.
