Authors are an important element of your organization's profile. You can publish opinion articles, explainers, and viewpoints on behalf of authors representing your organization. Each author is listed on your organization page and has their own author page with a timeline of their content on Hospitality Net.
Your Authors Page
Find all your organization's authors under Organization > Authors in the left sidebar. This page lists everyone from your organization who can author content on Hospitality Net.
Hover over any author to reveal the edit and delete buttons.
Deleting an Author
When you delete an author, any content they've published remains available on Hospitality Net. However, the author will be removed from existing content, and their author page will no longer be accessible.
Use this when someone leaves your organization or should no longer be associated with your company's content.
Author Information
First Name and Last Name are straightforward. These appear on the author's profile and on all their content.
Title is the author's position. Please don't include your company name here, as we add that automatically.
For example, use "VP Marketing" instead of "VP Marketing at Company, Inc."
Uploading a Headshot
An author's headshot appears on their profile page and alongside their content. When you upload a headshot, the crop editor opens automatically.
In the crop editor:
Position - Click and drag the image to frame the person's face
Zoom - Use the zoom slider to scale the image larger or smaller
Click Save when the face is well framed
The cropped square is saved at 250 × 250 pixels, optimized for display across the platform.
Tip: Upload a high-quality headshot with good lighting, preferably with a neutral background, where the person's face is clearly visible.
Writing an Author Bio
The bio is a brief description of the author's background, expertise, and role. It appears on their author page and helps readers understand the author's credentials.
Maximum 500 words. Focus on relevant professional experience, areas of expertise, and why this person is qualified to write about hospitality industry topics.
Author Contact Email
The contact email address is for transactional emails only. This email will not be displayed publicly. It is only used to send World Panel viewpoint invitations and updates.
This keeps communication functional without exposing personal email addresses on public profile pages.
Author Social Links
Add the author's professional social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). These links appear on the author's profile page.
