SDD develops and markets voice-data convergent billing systems for managers of hotel, resort, event, and tenant properties. SDD's customers include many of the largest and most prestigious hotel, resort, convention, and tenant properties in the world () SDD communication accounting systems enable property managers to independently bill guests and tenants for both telephone and internet based services using one convergent billing system platform. SDD systems can operate on-property when serving a single property, or can be centrally hosted for remotely serving multiple properties. SDD technology enables local or consolidated enterprise-wide management of billing policy, pricing, posting, revenue reporting and analysis. Ron Tarro is President and CEO of SDD Communications. Ron works on matters of strategic partnership, product strategy, and general management at SDD. He is a former member of Ernst & Young's Strategic Advisory Services consulting group where he led strategic planning projects for global telecommunications and software clients. He also led Ernst & Young research programs on the strategy and management of technology and telecommunications. Mr. Tarro is a frequent lecturer in academia, corporations, and industry organizations on topics of communications strategy. He is a former associate editor of MIS Quarterly, the leading global academic information systems journal. Mr. Tarro's work has been published and quoted in a variety of industry publications included CIO Magazine, Wired Magazine, Information Week, and numerous hospitality journals. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Saint John's University and holds a Master of Science degree in the Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.
