Under Padula’s leadership, the resort garnered significant international visibility and accolades — it was ranked among the top five best resorts in Central America two years in a row in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards; featured in National Geographic’s Best of the World Awards; and earned a place on Travel + Leisure’s World’s 500 Best Hotels list in 2025 and 2026, among others. As a result, Padula himself received special recognition from Honduras’ Minister of Tourism for his meaningful contributions in showcasing the incredible potential of Roatán and Honduras to international travelers.
