NAFEM Offers Exclusive Distribution Channel Hours at AFEM/97
The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) is pleased to announce that dealers/distributors and consultants have exclusive access to exhibitors, prior to general hours of admission at the NAFEM/97 Educational Exhibition, Sept. 5-7, 1997, New Orleans. Exclusive distribution channel hours will be held 8-10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7, 8-10 a.m.
"Dealers have encouraged us to enhance the hours giving them increased opportunities for education and training," said Mike Carpenter, CFSP, vice president of sales and marketing, Vollrath Company Inc., Sheboygan, Wis., and chair of the NAFEM/97 Steering Committee. "Adding these hours allows representatives of the distribution channel to truly train and educate with quieter and more dedicated time."
Stressing NAFEM's focus on education, exhibitors are encouraged to offer an educational presentation during the extended hours, which NAFEM will promote to the distribution channel on behalf of its exhibitors.
Individuals that display a dealer or consultant badge and a corresponding photo ID will be admitted to the show floor to view the educational exhibits.
The distribution channel hours program was developed by NAFEM's Distribution Channel Committee comprised of John Nackley, CFSP, chair, who is president and CEO of InterMetro Industries Corp., Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and vice-chair Elaine Chaney.
NAFEM/97 offers the best opportunity to view state-of-the-art equipment and supplies for food preparation, serving, storage, cooking and table service. NAFEM's Educational Exhibition draws more than 700 North American manufacturers displaying about 250 product categories. NAFEM/95 attracted more than 15,000 foodservice professionals from all segments of the industry, including more than 2,000 overseas attendees.
