WESTPORT, Conn. / (Tridex Corporation (Nasdaq National Market: TRDX), a leading provider of retail technology solutions, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Data Systems, Inc. to represent Progressive Software's food service technology solutions in the small chain and franchisee restaurant market. Data Systems will market Progressive Software through its Retail Data Systems division, which has approximately 300 employees in 22 offices nationwide.

"We identified Progressive Software as a strategic leader in the quick service, color touchscreen, open architecture arena," said Bob Seider, Director of Hospitality for Retail Data Systems. "Our long-term plan, in partnering with Progressive Software, is to have one software product that can be configured for either quick service or table service operations so that we can focus our staff on one product platform and better support our customer requirements. Progressive Software's IRIS Point of Sale (POS)/Back Office solution clearly gives us that advantage."

Retail Data Systems has already launched an aggressive franchisee program, and has secured business with several major franchisee groups, including Wendy's International, also a corporate client for Progressive Software. Customer response to the IRIS POS/Back Office solution has been extremely positive, according to Seider, who finds the system easy to configure, install and use.
