Baymont Inns & Suites Revamps Web Site - Hotel Data Systems to provide xenon®WEB
Norwalk, CT., USA (Nov. 2nd, 1999) - Incorporating innovative user-friendly features with vibrant graphics and new online services, Baymont Inns & Suites unveiled its new Web site as part of the company's comprehensive marketing efforts. The Baymont Web site, located at www.baymontinns.com, provides online users an opportunity to book reservations at any of the company's nearly 170 locations nationwide as well as receive reservation...
Among other innovative features that set the company apart from its competitors is featuring on-line connectivity to its xenon®CRS central reservation system. The central reservation software provided by Hotel Data Systems (HDS), will help Baymont process Internet- derived reservations more quickly and efficiently.
HDS provides the trademarked xenon®CRS software for the Baymont call center in Milwaukee. According to Claudia Cohen, Director of Technology for the Milwaukee based chain, the company chose HDS because " it's a Windows product, written with a Visual Basic user interface over a SQL database. It's user friendly, and it's on a Windows NT box, so information to support those products is readily available."
The xenon®WEB tools, which integrate with the xenon®CRS software and database, allows the Internet to function like a GDS for Baymont, giving a prospective guest real-time information from the company's central inventory and allowing the guest to book immediately. According to Cohen, "The goal of this is a seamless Internet reservation that touches the database and generates a confirmation to the guest immediately."
Baymont Inns & Suites is owned and franchised by The Marcus Corporation (MCS:NYSE).
