Luxe Worldwide Hotels Appoints Duane Quintana as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

LOS ANGELES / May 11, 2000--Looking to increase its presence globally, Luxe Worldwide Hotels has appointed hospitality industry veteran Duane Quintana as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Quintana comes to Luxe Worldwide Hotels from Marriott Corporation and Utell, where he served in various positions in North America. He was responsible for sales and marketing reservations as well as financial results for various brands and divisions.

According to Efrem Harkham, Chairman and CEO of Luxe Worldwide Hotels, "The long-term relationships that Duane Quintana has with travel agents, hotels and other hospitality providers on a global basis will enable Luxe Worldwide Hotels to increase revenues dramatically over the next 18 months."

Quintana will be responsible for directing day-to-day sales and marketing, reservations, and development activities in the Americas. He will also focus on enlarging the worldwide sales office network and increasing the number of hotels under the Luxe Worldwide Hotels banner.

He will be based in the Los Angeles Headquarters. Luxe also has sales offices in London, New York, Sydney and Tokyo.
