Delphi Consultants, LLC Completes SAP Human Resources Implementation for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Starwood chose Delphi Consultants in June 1999 to implement the SAP HR/Payroll solution for all its hotels, which include the Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, and W brands. The first phase of the rollout began in August and currently 32 hotels have been converted. This process will continue into the first quarter of 2001 for nearly 200 hotels. According to Starwood's Senior Vice President & Controller - Hotel Division, Clyde Cruise, "The completion of this project, rolled out on time for each of our first three groups of hotels, is a great testimonial to the skilled work and team effort by our business staff, technology staff and the Delphi team."

The scope of the project involved combining and converting third-party payroll processors, primarily ADP and Ceridian, to SAP HR/Payroll for Starwood's approximately 52,000 U.S. employees. The functional areas that were implemented include employee master data/personnel administration, organizational structure/personnel development, gross/net payroll, and benefits. The testing process included running full payrolls for each property in a test environment prior to live conversion.
