Design Hotels Inc. announces Claus Sendlinger new Chief Executive Officer
As of 1st November 2001, Claus Sendlinger, Chairman of lebensart global networks AG and Co-founder of Design Hotels Inc., has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the international hotel company. He takes over this role from J. Peter Schweitzer, Co-founder of Design Hotels Inc., who has been the company's CEO since its founding in 1993.
In cooperation with Sendlinger, Schweitzer built the organization and substantially contributed to the development of the brand design hotels™, a collection of 110 design-led hotels and resorts worldwide. Schweitzer has stepped down from the post and also leaves his position on the Management Board of lebensart AG for personal reasons. However, he remains available to the company as independent consultant.
With this change, Sendlinger now carries responsibility for the strategic development of Design Hotels. As Chairman of the Management Board of lebensart AG, a marketing and technology company, he will strive for a stronger integration of Design Hotels into the holding company. One of the next steps will be the integration of marketing technology services for member hotels. This will allow hotels to profile and segment their existing guest data and identify their optimal customer segment. Sendlinger will pay chief attention to the introduction of this Customer Delivery Solution (CDS) developed specially by lebensart technology for the tourism industry.
