Barceló Hotels starts up in Honduras and opens new hotels in Panama

In Panama the company is now the first hotel chain in the country by number of hotels.

This February Barceló Hotels & Resorts inaugurates their first hotel in Honduras: the Barceló Palma Real Beach Resort & Casino. Built in 2001 and with 4 stars, it has 42 rooms and 84 vacancies in the first phase of construction. This will soon be increased by 118 bedrooms more. Barceló has also increased their presence in Panama with two more hotels making it the first hotel company in the country by number of hotels. The two hotels, both incorporated in management, are:

  • Barceló De Ville: Situated in Panama City, in the very heart of the capital´s financial centre and 20 minutes from the International Airport. It was built in 1999 and has a total of 33 Suites and 66 vacancies. It is a five star hotel.
  • Barceló Guayacanes: Located in the city of Chitré, on the Pacific Coast, 5 Km. from Chitré National Airport and 250 Km. from Panama City. It is a newly built holiday hotel with 64 bedrooms and 144 vacancies and 4 star category.
