Barceló Hotels starts up in Honduras and opens new hotels in Panama
In Panama the company is now the first hotel chain in the country by number of hotels.
This February Barceló Hotels & Resorts inaugurates their first hotel in Honduras: the Barceló Palma Real Beach Resort & Casino. Built in 2001 and with 4 stars, it has 42 rooms and 84 vacancies in the first phase of construction. This will soon be increased by 118 bedrooms more. A holiday resort, it is situated on Playa Roma, 25 Km to the east of the city of La Ceiba, on the Atlantic Coast, the third most important city in Honduras and with an international airport. The capital of the country, Tegucigalpa, is 450 Km. away. It will be promoted in "everything included" and will be run by managerial control.
- Barceló De Ville: Situated in Panama City, in the very heart of the capital´s financial centre and 20 minutes from the International Airport. It was built in 1999 and has a total of 33 Suites and 66 vacancies. It is a five star hotel.
- Barceló Guayacanes: Located in the city of Chitré, on the Pacific Coast, 5 Km. from Chitré National Airport and 250 Km. from Panama City. It is a newly built holiday hotel with 64 bedrooms and 144 vacancies and 4 star category.
