Cygnal's Telecom Networks Group unveils Superclick(TM) Internet solution for hotels

Hotel guests now have faster Internet access and simultaneous telephone and Internet capability, if needed

OSHAWA, ON, Cygnal Technologies Corporation CYN, Canada's leading communications network service provider, announced today that its Telecom Networks Group has unveiled Superclick(TM), a new product offering that affords hotel guests faster Internet access and, if required, simultaneous telephone and Internet capability.

Today, most hotel guests have simultaneous telephone and Internet capability, but do not have high-speed Internet access. The remainder face a myriad of challenges -- slow Internet access, Internet access that is occasionally cut off or Internet and telephony usage that is not simultaneous. With Cygnal's Superclick product, all of these guests are afforded faster-than- normal Internet access through high-speed Ethernet technology using their network card or modem dial-up -- without having to tie up valuable telephone lines. For the hospitality industry, in general, Superclick makes more lines available for normal voice calls, particularly revenue-generating long- distance calls.

"Internet usage is on the increase in hotels across Canada -- and that is not good news for hoteliers who are concerned about having enough lines open for all of their guests," said Dave Sherry, President, Telecom Networks Group, Cygnal Technologies Corporation. "With the Superclick modem solution, we have the ability to off-load up to 100 percent of modem ISP traffic from the PBX under normal operating conditions, which accounts for approximately 30 percent of all calls."

"We have successfully pioneered the integration of various telecom hardware components, principally through our remote access server," said Sandro Natale, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Superclick Networks Inc. "Our knowledge of this technology, combined with the software we have developed to drive it, has resulted in the easy installation and exceptional functionality of our finished product -- the Superclick Box.

"The software has been developed to interface with the hotel's property management software to monitor Internet usage, call accounting and billing."
