SafePlace Accreditation requirements encompass a wide variety of codes, standards and recommended practices for fire, security, health and life safety features. Requirements include, but are not limited to, fire protection measures such as alarm and sprinkler systems; security measures such as electronic guest room locking and the use of video surveillance; and health and life safety measures with regard to housekeeping, water/air quality and food handling and storage. Accreditation requirements also include vigilant employee analysis and education protocols including background checks and drug testing as well as emergency management training.
