Pontiac Land Group builds S$150M small luxury hotel with villas in the green heritage on Sentosa Island
Singapore - Pontiac Land Group will develop a small luxury hotel with villas in the green heritage on Sentosa Island. At this exclusive estate, guests have the option of both short and long term stays.
Pontiac Land Group has partnered with City Realty Co Limited to form Millenia Hotel Private Limited to embark on the development. City Realty is a Thai property development company owned by Khun Chali Sophonpanich. Khun Chali is the second son of Khun Chatri Sophonpanich who is the Chairman of Thailand's largest commercial bank, Bangkok Bank.
The legendary hotelier Robert Burns who founded Regent International Hotels serves as an advisor for this luxury development. As a recipient of Travel & Leisure's Hotelier of the World Award, Mr. Burns also has numerous achievements that include the development of Four Seasons New York, Regent Beverly Wilshire, Four Seasons Milan, and his recent jewel, Villa Feltrinelli in northern Italy. He was also instrumental in designing Pontiac Land Group's Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, which is consistently ranked among the best business hotels by Conde Naste, Travel & Leisure and Institutional Investor.
With Mr. Burns' invaluable guidance, the S$150 million dollar development will be designed by top design teams from around the globe. A luxury hotel management group that has yet to be selected will operate the hotel and villas.
Evan Kwee of Pontiac Land Group said, "Our Group has been privileged to introduce leaders in art, architecture and service to Singapore. We are bringing together world-renowned designers to revolutionise and redefine Singapore's modern tropical lifestyle."
The inherent beauty of the site is rare in Singapore; it is located on 30 acres of secondary tropical rain forest that borders the 36-hole Sentosa Golf Club as well as the southern coast of the island. Although the development is less than a 10-minute drive from the Central Business District, it is nevertheless a welcome respite in an ambrosial woodland. With a plot ratio of only 0.33, the development will be a loosely populated haven in which relaxation and rejuvenation are natural reflexes.
Darrell Metzger, CEO of Sentosa Leisure Group, said, "We are delighted that Pontiac Land Group's portfolio of architectural masterpieces will now include a site on the green heritage of Sentosa Island. I am confident that they will create an unmatched experience for our guests within this upscale precinct of our sprawling island."
