AUSTIN, TEXAS | Due to the progressive nature of the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®), students in the University of Delaware's Masters of Science in Hospitality Information Management program will be required to attend the event this June in Dallas.

"We are pleased that our University of Delaware students are aligning with HITEC for this outstanding learning opportunity," said Frederick J. DeMicco, Ph.D, professor and ARAMARK chair of Hotel & Restaurant Management at The University of Delaware. "The graduate program blends the theoretical with the hands-on in using hospitality hardware and software to provide solutions to the industry. The HITEC conference will serve as a 'classroom' and 'IT Lab' environment for our students, giving them an opportunity to see the latest in technology for the hotel and restaurant industry. The students will work with HITEC and the HFTP staff at the conference, and have ample time to network with IT professionals to make future connections."

HITEC, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), is the most comprehensive showcase of hospitality technology in the world. HITEC 2004 is June 21-24 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
