Marriott Reflags Adam's Mark Houston as Houston Marriott Westchase
Property is Largest Marriott in Houston
WASHINGTON |Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR - News) announced today that the Adam's Mark Hotel in Houston has been reflagged as the Houston Marriott Westchase. The 600-room hotel is located at 2900 Briarpark Drive and will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by a partnership consisting of Pyramid Advisors LLC and Morgan Stanley. The property will be managed by Pyramid Advisors.

"We have updated the guest rooms, meeting and catering facilities and public spaces, and we are looking forward to adding additional touches that will further enhance the guest's experience by year end."
Vice President and Managing Director Harry Greenblatt said the extensive $18 million renovations at the hotel, coupled with the Marriott brand, will allow the hotel to showcase the vibrancy of the Westchase District. The Houston Marriott Westchase is the largest Marriott hotel in Houston and is in close proximity to many area companies, including ABB, BMC Software, ChevronTexaco, ExxonMobil, Halliburton and Honeywell. The property is within 21 miles of Houston Hobby International Airport and 32 miles from Houston Intercontinental Airport. Area attractions nearby include the Houston Galleria, Memorial Park and Golf Course and the Museum District.
The hotel renovations are designed to provide a strong sense of Southern hospitality with elements that reflect the feel of a "Texas living room." As guests enter the lobby, they find a setting that features stone and rustic tiles set off by a blend of woods and textured fabrics. A unique lighting setup changes hues throughout the day to emulate a Texas sunset. Artwork around the hotel reflects Texas' history, with prints featuring well-known Texas symbols and historic landmarks.
Guest rooms have a fresh, residential feel and are furnished with contemporary, dark mahogany furniture, complemented by mint, navy and yellow fabrics. Amenities include a work desk with ergonomic desk chair, high-speed internet access, wireless capabilities, telephone with data port and voice mail, cable television with pay-per-view movies, hair dryer, coffee and tea service, and iron and ironing board. A concierge level with upgraded amenities and concierge lounge serving daily continental breakfast and evening reception with cocktails is also available.
