HFTP Extends Reach to Asia with Presence at HOSTEC-Asia 2005

AUSTIN, TEXAS - HFTP will be participating in Asia's first Hospitality & Foodservice Technology Tradeshow & Conference, HOSTEC-Asia 2005, May 10-13 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. HFTP will be featured as a HOSTEC-Asia exhibitor and will also be the exclusive sponsor of a two-hour seminar on Thursday, May 12, titled "Best Practices of Hotel and Restaurant Web Sites."

The HFTP-sponsored session will be presented by Cihan Cobanoglu, Ph.D., CHTP, an assistant professor of hospitality information technology at the University of Delaware and a member of the HFTP Board of Directors. The session will explore a study of 20 randomly selected hotel and restaurant Web sites that involved more than 250 criteria. The study includes six main categories: technical specifications and technology in use; aesthetics; ease of navigation; ease of contact with restaurants; marketing effectiveness; and legal compliance.

HOSTEC-Asia 2005 is co-located with HOFEX, the 11th Asian International Exhibition of Food & Drink, Hotel, Restaurant & Foodservice Equipment, Supplies & Services, will incorporate two main themes: foodservice equipment & hospitality supplies and food & drink.
