Young has over 22 years’ experience in the hospitality technology industry in roles that include sales, business development, marketing, hotel operations, and advisory services. From 1994 to 2001, Young held sales and marketing positions with a number of early-stage, high growth technology firms that provided products and services to the global hotel industry. In May 2001, Young served as the Vice President, Hotel and System Integration, for Montreal-based Newtrade Technologies, a start-up firm that provides software, distribution management, and integration tools to the global hospitality industry. In April 2002, IAC Expedia acquired Newtrade Technologies. Immediately prior to joining Hotel Booking Solutions, Young served as the Vice President, Sales & Marketing and subsequently the Chief Marketing Officer for Hotel Information Systems, a provider of enterprise management solutions to the global hotel industry. In addition to his work experiences, Young serves on the Board of Directors of the Open Travel Alliance, a broadly accepted and supported technology specifications body for the hotel industry. In addition, Young participates on committees for HTNG (Hotel Technology Next Generation) and AHLA (American Hotel and Lodging Association). He also serves as a frequent lecturer on a variety of hotel technology, distribution, and integration topics for a wide range of industry related organizations.
