AH&LA Debuts New Conference In Denver

Washington | The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) is hosting its inaugural 2006 Summer Summit, June 27-29, at The Brown Palace in Denver, Colo. AH&LA is putting the intelligence of nearly 20 committees in one place for three fast-paced days of business, knowledge, and networking. Signature events include the annual AH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards and the Lodging Industry Summit.

The Stars of the Industry Awards program honors outstanding lodging employees, managers, and general managers across the nation. Hotels are also recognized for creative public relations programs in community service; guest relations; and special events, one-time only and ongoing; and Good Earthkeeping.

At AH&LA’s annual Lodging Industry Summit, leading lodging business analysts will gather to offer attendees their collective perspectives and forecasts for the U.S. travel and hotel industries. Participants will analyze current industry performance and provide their insight on the future, providing key sector information to help hoteliers plan strategies.

Women from every sector and segment of the industry are invited to this special seminar, which features Cary Broussard, former Wyndham executive and author of “FROM CINDERELLA TO CEO: How to Master the 10 Lessons of Fairy Tales to Transform Your Work Life.” One of the country's top experts in marketing to women and diverse populations, Broussard has combined the ageless wisdom of fairy tales with the latest advice from women on the forefront of business to help women create a realistic vision of their future and obtain the full menu of tools needed to guide women on their way to career success.
