The International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA) will host its 43rd Annual World Congress, Hospitality Takes Centre Stage, from 26-29 October 2006 at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This Congress will commemorate IH&RA’s 60th anniversary as the only global trade association exclusively representing the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide, as well as the 100th Anniversary of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Buenos Aires, one of the Congress hosts.

Congress Highlights:

IH&RA First Annual Hospitality Human Resources Development Forum: 27 October Professors and administrators of hospitality schools from around the world, human resource directors of international hospitality chains and independent operators and industry practitioners will come face-to-face for an intensive one-day session to dialogue and present current hospitality industry trends and implications for education, training and Human Resources Development. This first annual Hospitality Human Resources Development Forum will be the ‘Opening Act’ of the IH&RA Congress in Buenos Aires on 27 October.

IH&RA has launched a “Call for Papers” with submissions and proposals for presentations to be made at the Forum requested by the deadline of 16 June. The “Call for Papers” may be downloaded on the IH&RA website at:
