Firstly incepted in 2005, the 2nd presentation of Hotel Expo 2006 is being staged again in Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre over the period of November 22-24, 2006 introducing the latest equipment, supplies and technology to the hotel, catering & hospitality industry. More than a hundred companies from home and abroad have confirmed participation.

More than a hundred companies from home and abroad have confirmed participation. The exhibition definitely serves as a direct and comprehensive business platform for the industry operators.
Macau, being famed as “Las Vegas of the Orient”, is the only city in Asia combining leisure, entertainment with gaming and tourism. The number of visitors jumped from 8 million in 1999 to 20 million in 2005. Macau is aggressively adopting the development pattern of Las Vegas to reposition itself as an international toursim & gaming hub. New establishment, extension and reconstruction project of casinos & hotels can be seen everywhere in Macau. 2006 will mark the culmination of hotel development in Macau. More than 66,000 rooms in 60 new hotels will be added to the market while the majority of the existing hotels are in process of re-construction and upgrading. The world’s famous hotel brands as well as the mighty investors from home and abroad have continuously unveiled ambitious hotel development including Macau Wynn Resort, MGM Grand Macau, Grand Lisboa, Galaxy StarWorld Hotel, Oceanus, Porte 16, Crown Hotel, City of Dreams, Galaxy Mega Resort Phase 1…etc. as well as the US$3.5 billion Cotai Strip Resort project.
With great support from Macau Government Tourist Office, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Macau Hotel Association, Macau Hoteliers & Innkeepers Association, Association of Macau Restaurant Merchants and special support from China Tea Business Academy and Guangdong Provincial Wine’s Guild, Hotel Expo 2006 is deemed to be the largest event of its kind in Macau.
The exhibition size is escalated in this year. In addition to the display of a wide range of sophisticated products for the hotel, catering and hospitality sectors like linen products, beddings, mattress, curtains, tableware, kitchenware, electrical appliances, aroma, sanitary ware, security equipment, cleaning equipment, audio-visual equipment, management systems, architectural & decorative materials etc., the exhibition will also specially feature “Macau Star-Graded Hotel Furniture & Lighting Fair”, “China Wines”, “Food and Drinks”, “Decorative & Rare Stone of Ying De” and “Promotional Fair on Chinese Tea”.
