“The Ace will not be another iteration of the modern, generic design product that is now widely available. We are reinventing a classic downtown hotel, restoring a sense of history and place while reinterpreting those details for a sense of modern bohemia-an “Instant classic” that marries the pragmatic with the romantic.” - Alex Calderwood, Ace Co-Founder.
While the Ace appeal is very democratic, Ace specifically targets cultural influencers and opinion leaders on a budget with it’s room rates ranging from $85-$195 per night. This market is a growing class of creative professionals, ranging in age from 25-50, who travel widely for business and pleasure, who seek out quality and whose influence extends beyond their personal circles.
The Ace Hotel Portland is the second hotel in what Wallpaper magazine has called “a Mega Chain waiting to happen.” The Ace Hotel Group is currently working on new properties in dynamic cities in The United States, Canada and Europe.
