Solare Hotels & Resorts to operate Joetsu Manten Hotel in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture

The First Hotel to be Operated by Solare on the Sea of Japan

Tokyo | Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: A. G. Virili) will assume the management and operation of Joetsu Manten Hotel, an urban hotel located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, from Manten Hotel Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture; President: Kichiji Otani) from October 2, 2006. It will continue to trade under the name of Joetsu Manten Hotel for the time being.

Solare Hotels & Resorts manages properties throughout Japan, including Chisun brand hotels and various other hotels under its “Solare Collection” umbrella brand. The addition of Joetsu Manten Hotel (198 rooms) brings the total number of Solare hotels to 43 (8,675 guestrooms) making Solare one of the leading hotel chains in Japan.

Situated only three minutes walk from JR Shinetsu Line Takada Station, Joetsu Manten Hotel is conveniently located for both business and leisure travelers. Hotel guests can enjoy easy access to many popular tourist attractions within the vicinity of the hotel, including the ruins of Kasugayama castle built by Uesugi Kenshin and Takada Park, regarded as one of Japan’s top three spots to view cherry blossoms at night. The hotel is also located in close proximity to popular resorts such as the Myoko Kogen ski resort and Naoetsu beach resort, enabling visitors to enjoy activities in every season.
