The Lexington Collection Signs Hudson Valley Resort
(Cleveland, OH) | Steve Belmonte, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality’s Lexington Collection, announced that Hudson Valley Resort, located in Kerhonkson, NY, is now a member of The Lexington Collection. The historic resort is now known as The Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort.
Located on 600 acres of rolling hills near the Sawangunk Mountains, The Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort is adjacent to Minnewaska State Park. In addition to an 18-hole, par 71, championship golf course, the resort also has a European spa, fitness center, basketball and tennis courts, 42,000 square feet of convention space to accommodate groups up to 1,200 people, and 270 guest rooms.
“The Hudson Valley Resort has been a destination for families since 1946 and it’s very important that we don’t lose that identity,” said Orest Fedash, general manager of The Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort. “Joining The Lexington Collection is the best of all worlds because it will allow us to maintain our well-known status, yet receive the necessary resources to expand our reach to new markets.”
“Having the Hudson Valley Resort in our system is a huge feather in Lexington’s cap,” said Belmonte. “When we started this brand several months ago, we did it with the intention to go full-speed-ahead, right out of the gate. We knew we had a product that was needed in the upper lodging segment and the response to The Lexington Collection has been phenomenal.”
The Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort is just one of several hotels to join the membership brand in the last month. According to Belmonte, Hope Lake Lodge in Cortland, NY and a former Holiday Inn with an indoor swim and activity facility in Montgomery, AL recently signed. He expects several more signed deals before the end of 2006.
