Joori Jeon Named AH&LA Foundation President And COO
Washington, The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) has appointed Joori Jeon president and COO of its subsidiary, the Foundation. Jeon retains her role as executive vice president and CFO of AH&LA.
“We are pleased to have Jeon take on these expanded leadership responsibilities. She has been integral in strengthening the association's core operations to ensure financial stability and streamline efficiency to help build a stronger Foundation and association,” said AH&LA President/CEO Joseph A. McInerney, CHA.
In her new position, Jeon is responsible for raising the Foundation’s profile as the premier charitable fundraising engine of the association and the industry. Additionally, Jeon serves as staff liaison for several of the association’s committees including Audit, Certification & Credentials, Financial Management, and AH&LEF Investment.
Prior to her appointment, Jeon’s overall responsibilities included establishing financial policies and practices; directing and coordinating activities of finance, human resources, and office administration; and developing and implementing a budget to support the association's strategic plan.
A 16-year veteran of the nonprofit industry, Jeon held several management positions at the Personal Communications Industry Association, Inova Health System, and Arthur Andersen LLP. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
