'Destination Design’ Returns To 2007 International Hotel/motel & Restaurant Show
Highly-Acclaimed Program to Feature Education, Products and Networking
WHITE PLAINS, NY, After a highly-successful debut in 2006, Destination Design™ will return to the 92nd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show® with a series of design-driven seminars, new products within the Show’s Luxury Product Collection and networking events that will bring the hospitality design community together. Taking place November 10-13, 2007, at New York City’s Jacob K.
“The International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show serves all facets of the hospitality industry, with Destination Design providing dedicated attention to the design sector,” said Christian Falkenberg, show manager. “This comprehensive program is an exclusive opportunity for owners, operators and designers to collectively discover new trends that could have dramatic impact on their properties.”
Destination Design will open with a full day of educational programming on Saturday, November 10, as a dedicated track within the 4th annual Hospitality Leadership Forum, a pre-Show conference for senior level hospitality managers. The educational component will continue throughout Show days, complemented by an extensive merchandise selection within the Luxury Product Collection, including artwork, bathroom fixtures, bedding, drapery, decorative accessories, floor and wall coverings, furniture, lighting and more. Hospitality designers also will discover networking opportunities at the 27th annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design, held during the 92nd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show. The event will bring together designers from around the world to celebrate the most innovative and inspired hospitality properties built or renovated in the past year. Taking place from 7:30 – 9:30am, on Monday, November 12, 2007, at New York City’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the ceremony also will include the presentation of the coveted “Designer of the Year” distinction by Gold Key Award sponsors HOTELS and Interior Design magazines.
The 92nd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 10, through Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full-day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 10, the IH/M&RS will feature three full days of exhibits from Sunday, November 11, through Tuesday, November 13. The market presents some 1,250 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts approximately 35,000 in total trade attendance.
