HOFEX 2007 | Interview with Gordon Brown, CEO TeleAdapt

Gordon Brown was born and educated in London. Following a 10 year career in the British Army, he initially worked for Racal, where, in the mid-80's as an Export manager he first dealt with the challenges of mobile communications, and became one of the earliest "Road Warriors". In 1992 Gordon spotted the opportunity to establish TeleAdapt - an abbreviation of Telephone Adapter - the first company in the world to provide the all-too- necessary telephone adapters to enable laptop modem users to get connected around the world. From a $5,000 bedroom start-up in 1992, by 2000 TeleAdapt had achieved revenues of $10m. Now TeleAdapt is the market leader in the provision of guest room broadband connectivity products worldwide, with products in over 1 million hotel bedrooms. With its HQ in the UK, TeleAdapt has operations in the USA, Europe, UAE, Hong Kong and PRC. For more information visit .
