Portsmouth, NH | Newmarket International, Inc., the leader in sales and catering solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced that Senior Principal Software Engineer, Jay Hilyard, co-authored the third edition of his bestselling book, the “C# 3.0 Cookbook (O’Reilly)”. The new edition focuses on common and not-so-common problems that C# programmers face every day, including using LINQ, working with XML, secure programming practices and proper use of Generics. The third edition is completely updated for C# 3.0 and the .NET 3.5 platform, offering more than 250 code recipes designed to help C# programmers in their jobs. More than a third of the recipes have been rewritten to take advantage of new C# 3.0 features and the book covers much needed solutions for programmers.
Published by O’Reilly, and co-authored by Stephen Teilhet, the bestselling book also includes a new chapter on LINQ (language integrated query), two expanded chapters for recipes on extension methods, lambda functions, object initializers and new synchronization primitives. The new chapter on LINQ goes in depth into explaining how LINQ can allow for a greater style and flexibility in programming. To enhance the contents of the book, there will also be a public wiki which will include recipes from the past editions as well as a forum for readers to suggest other innovative ways to address problems.
