Onity Expands OS Series of In-room Safes with Addition of Two New Models

ATLANTA, GA | Onity announced today the addition of two new models, the OS200 and OS400, to its growing line of electronic in-room safes. Both safes are part of Onity’s OS Series, and are designed to provide added flexibility, improved security and enhanced aesthetics at an affordable price. Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

All OS Series safes feature digital PIN code operation, which provides maximum guest security and convenience, as well as low maintenance for hotel staff. They also include audit trail reporting that provides detailed reports of safe events, such as openings and closings, and identifies all users.

Another feature, Onity’s “Code to Close” technology, prevents accidental locking by requiring the customer to enter their code each time they lock the door of the safe. This greatly reduces the need for hotel personnel to override the safe resulting in savings of both labor costs and staff time. For added savings, OS Series safes are designed for low battery consumption, which provides longer continuous operation and reduced operational costs.

The OS400 model comes in two sizes and offers several additional options including a choice of color, and left- or right-hand opening door.
