Introductory Summer Rate for Solís Cambrian Hotel & Spa

Solís Cambrian Hotel & Spa in Adelboden, Switzerland is marking its first summer with a fantastic introductory rate. Prices start from just CHF75 (approx £37) per person for bed and breakfast, based on double occupancy of a Deluxe Mountain View room. Those wishing to enjoy the stunning panoramic Alpine views for which the property is known will pay just CHF100 (approx £49) per person B&B in a Deluxe Panoramic room.

The summer rates are also reflected in the hotel’s packages. For example, the two-night Hiking Package with a four-course dinner one night and gourmet backpack filled with local Swiss specialities is now CHF500 (£245) instead of CHF990, while the two-night Feel Wellness package with dinner, treatments and treats thrown in, normally costs CHF1333 but is now CHF710 (approx £348).

Adelboden – a charming picture postcard destination filled with traditional wooden chalets – is perfect for those searching for a nostalgic holiday in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a place where kids can roam freely and all can enjoy bracing outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking up hills to visit mountain chalets or waterfalls, rock climbing and even llama trekking (Swiss llamas are so much less stubborn than their Peruvian counterparts!).

In contrast to its location, Solís Cambrian Hotel & Spa is very modern, having been recently renovated with a contemporary design focus. While touches of the early 20th century building do remain, such as the cosy under eaves bedrooms that have been converted into duplexes, much of the hotel has been re-designed for 21st century living. Kids will want to hang out in one of the two games rooms (one for younger children with soft toys, Lego and Wii, the other for teenagers with a snooker table and board games), while adults can chill out on the sun terrace or luxuriate in the spacious 750 sq m spa, admiring the stunning panoramic views of the Swiss Alps from the warmth of the heated outdoor swimming pool, complete with massaging water spouts.

Adelboden is easily accessible: numerous airlines fly from multiple points in the UK to Zurich and Geneva, from where there are straightforward train connections to the resort.
