ISM Wins Emirates Business in North America
Boston-based agency continues to leverage its travel and lifestyle expertise
Emirates announced this week that it has appointed ISM to be the lead agency for its business in North America after conducting a formal review that also included three large holding company agencies. The review was prompted by a series of initiatives Emirates is conducting around the globe that are designed to further streamline and formalize the airline’s agency network.
Boston, MA - Emirates announced this week that it has appointed ISM to be the lead agency for its business in North America after conducting a formal review that also included three large holding company agencies. The review was prompted by a series of initiatives Emirates is conducting around the globe that are designed to further streamline and formalize the airline’s agency network.
ISM had been working with Emirates since late 2003 when it won the original pitch to help launch the airline’s non-stop service from New York to Dubai. Since then, ISM has helped the airline to successfully launch a second daily service from New York, as well as non-stop service from both Toronto and Houston to Dubai.
This fall, Emirates will continue its expansion in North America, including the introduction of non-stop service from both Los Angeles and San Francisco. They have also just begun flying the A380 jumbo jet from New York to Dubai. “We have achieved great success working with ISM and we’ve benefited from the expertise they bring to our business. At a time of Emirates' significant growth, we felt that it was appropriate to review our agency options,” explained Tim Burnell, Emirates Manager of Group Advertising, based out of Dubai. “I’m very pleased that the process led us back to ISM who proved in a competitive pitch to be the best fit for our requirements.” ISM was founded in 1984 and has always focused on providing consulting, marketing and advertising services to premier brands in the travel and lifestyle category. Among the agency’s current clients are Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, American Express, Abercrombie & Kent, Barbados and Best Western.
