Vienna International and Raiffeisen evolution Realise Hotel Project in Bratislava
Vienna/Bratislava, Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG has signed a management contract for a 3-star hotel project in Bratislava. The 176-room Chopin Hotel at Bratislava Airport will be built by Raiffeisen evolution project development GmbH. The opening of the hotel, the first joint project of Vienna International and Raiffeisen evolution, is planned for 5 June 2009.
For contract partner Raiffeisen evolution, which began construction works for the 3-star hotel in October 2007, this marks the beginning of long-term cooperation with the Austrian hotel group Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG. Christian Wagner, Head of Division Project Development CEE at Raiffeisen evolution: "In Vienna International, we have found a respected partner for the hotel project who can point to past experience on the hotel market in Slovakia."
When it opens on 5 June 2009, the hotel, being built on a 10,400 m² plot of land, will feature 176 rooms on six floors. In addition, the Chopin Hotel will also offer its guests a restaurant, a bar as well as four conference rooms with enough space for up to 200 people. The hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible, situated near Bratislava's international M. R. Stefanic Airport and the busy motorway connecting the capital with the rest of the country. Another plus point is the proximity to the centre of Bratislava and the city's many sights and attractions, just 15 minutes away by car. "Thanks to the location, the level of comfort and the attractive pricing, in combination with the high quality of our service, we expect to welcome both tourists as well as business travellers," says Rudolf Tucek, CEO of Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG, of the group's latest hotel project. As a result of the economic growth and development of the Slovak capital, and due to the growing supply of office space, there is an increasing demand for new hotel accommodation and seminar options in Bratislava.

The hotel in Bratislava is the third realisation of the Chopin brand. Vienna International's hotel line-up includes two more Chopin Hotels, located in Prague (under VI management since September 2008) and in Cracow (2004).
