Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced an agreement to brand and manage 56 luxurious residences and 36 apartments that are located above Mandarin Oriental, Macau, which is part of the prestigious One Central mixed-use complex on the Nape waterfront. This brings the total number of branded Residences at Mandarin Oriental around the world to 14.

With a planned opening in 2011, The Residences & Apartments in Macau will be the first branded Mandarin Oriental residential concept to open in Asia, and the individual units have been designed as the most exclusive private accommodation in the enclave. Owners will be offered an exclusive extension to the brand’s luxury hotel experience with bespoke services and amenities to complement their lifestyles. In addition, owners will have private access to the One Central Residences’ Clubhouse.

Housed in the exciting One Central development, The Residences & Apartments will enjoy superb views towards Nam Van Lake, the Macau Tower and Taipa Island. The overall complex includes an extensive upscale retail centre, and the luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel. The development is directly connected to the MGM Grand. Mandarin Oriental, Macau will provide management services for the development, as well as tailor-made services for individual residents.

Owners of The Residences & Apartments will enjoy easy access to the luxurious facilities of the 213-room Mandarin Oriental, Macau and its vibrant restaurant and bar, Vida Rica. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Macau incorporates the most comprehensive range of wellness, beauty and massage treatments in the city, offering holistic rejuvenation and relaxation in a tranquil, meditative setting, with life-enhancing signature programmes that are exclusive to the Group. The hotel also features a sophisticated fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, lobby lounge and a Mandarin Oriental signature gourmet Cake Shop. The hotel and residences will also enjoy easy access to a range of internationally-recognised luxury retail housed within the One Central complex.

The project is being developed by Properties Sub F, Limited, a joint venture company between Shun Tak Holdings Limited and Hongkong Land Holdings Limited.

“We are delighted to be introducing The Residences & Apartments at Mandarin Oriental to this exciting and vibrant city, and look forward to bringing Mandarin Oriental’s legendary hospitality to this extraordinary development. Together with our partners, we aim to create the most sophisticated lifestyle offering in the heart of Macau,” said Andrew Hirst, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Operations Director, Asia.
