Toronto, ON—Canada's leading print and online resource for the meetings industry, Ignite Magazine, has formed a new partnership with IMEX America to be the Canadian channel that will assist in marketing the Las Vegas trade show to the Canadian meeting planning industry.
IMEX America, deemed the new worldwide exhibition for the incentive travel, meetings and events industry, will host over 2,000 buyers, making it the largest hosted buyer program in North America. Ignite Magazine, in conjunction with IMEX, will pre-qualify and host 20+ Canadian planners as part of this program. IMEX recognized the strong relationship Ignite has with the Canadian meeting planning community and is tapping into that to draw more planners from the Canadian market. Equally, Ignite will benefit from being associated with the strong IMEX brand.
IMEX America, from the organizers of the award-winning IMEX in Frankfurt, runs from October 11-13, 2011 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. IMEX America will offer a "unique model of trade show" based on the size and quality of the hosted buyer program; the powerful line-up of speakers and superior educational programs that will run together with the show, delivered by its strategic partner, Meeting Professionals International (MPI); the numerous partnerships with industry associations and organizations; free entry, registration and education sessions; and the incomparable networking and business opportunities available to all attendees.
To be considered as a hosted buyer by Ignite Magazine, applicants must demonstrate that they have organized events outside of Canada, the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean in the last three years, or that they have the potential to do so in the future. Of those who qualify, the majority will be corporate and third-party buyers, and the remainder will be association buyers.
Event planners that meet the qualifications and wish to be considered for inclusion in the hosted buyer program should send a brief letter of interest to [email protected] or [email protected] and they will be contacted directly.
Ignite magazine and ignitemag.ca burst onto the Canadian meetings, corporate rewards and incentive scene in 2008. Their strong following of meeting planners and unlimited access to the most effective means of communicating with them (magazine, website, digital newsletters and social media) will ensure maximum attendance of qualified buyers and planners.
