Cornell's Statler Hotel Wins AAA Four Diamond Award
The Statler Hotel at Cornell University has been named a 2011 winner of the AAA Four Diamond Award, an honor given to upscale establishments that offer an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail. Only 3.6 percent of the 59,000 AAA Diamond Rated establishments throughout North America earn Four Diamond honors.
"At the Statler Hotel, we provide a unique, world-class experience for our guests," said Rick Adie, general manager. "It is a privilege to receive the AAA Four Diamond Award and be among the upper echelon of hotels in North America."
"To achieve or maintain this level of hospitality is a significant accomplishment," said Tom Chestnut, president and CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. "AAA Four Diamond establishments consistently deliver a high level of personal comfort and attention to every guest."
In 2010, the Statler Hotel completed a major renovation, upgrading décor and amenities in its 153 guestrooms. Located in the heart of the Cornell University campus, the Statler is a first-class property as well as a teaching hotel, where students of the world-renowned School of Hotel Administration apply classroom learning to practical experience. More than 200 student employees work alongside seasoned professionals across all hotel and restaurant operations.
