Knowland Honored by American Business Awards as Best Overall Company of the Year, CEO Wins Executive of the Year
Innovative business development company joins select group, including American Express, Apple, Blackboard, and Cisco, to win multiple 2011 Stevie Awards
The Knowland Group, a leading provider of business development solutions for the hospitality industry, was recently awarded “Best Overall Company of the Year” at the 9th annual American Business Awards ceremony. Knowland CEO Michael K. McKean was also honored with “Executive of the Year.” The awards were presented to McKean during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
Washington, DC -- The Knowland Group, a leading provider of business development solutions for the hospitality industry, was recently awarded “Best Overall Company of the Year” at the 9th annual American Business Awards ceremony. Knowland CEO Michael K. McKean was also honored with “Executive of the Year.” The awards were presented to McKean during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

The American Business Awards, part of The Stevie Awards program, honors the achievements and contributions of US-based businesses and their employees. Awards were presented in over 40 categories and more than 2,800 entries were received from organizations of all sizes in virtually every industry. Knowland was a finalist for five awards, including "Most Innovative Company of the Year” and “Customer Service Department of the Year.” The company’s two awards came in the Best Overall Company of the Year – Up to 100 Employees – All Other Industries and the Executive of the Year – Up to 100 Employees – All Other Industries categories.
The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Stevie Award finalists and winners.
