Horsham, Pa. - July 12, 2011 - Conference organizers recently announced that the 6th Annual HR in Hospitality Conference & Expo will be held February 27 - 29, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco.
This dynamic 2½-day event - featuring a blend of high-profile plenary sessions, interactive workshops, peer-to-peer discussion groups, diverse networking opportunities and an Expo - is the lone conference focusing specifically on the HR and employment law issues impacting the hospitality industry.
Five-time attendee Carol Rossi, VP HR at Harristown Enterprises, Inc. in Harrisburg, Pa., said, "Nothing else out there even comes close to being as relevant to our industry as the HR in Hospitality Conference."
The 2012 education program, still under development, focuses more than ever on providing content for different segments of the industry - most notably hotels, restaurants, casinos, franchises, small and mid-sized organizations, and union and non-union affiliated workplaces.
Session topics being planned include how hospitality organizations can rebuild their depth of talent, the impact of an increasingly contingent hospitality workforce, using technology and social media to create new possibilities for selection and orientation of new employees, and designing rewards and incentives to improve employee engagement and performance.
Presenters will include nationally known industry HR leaders, employment law attorneys and Cornell University experts delivering hospitality-specific HR guidance to help attendees succeed. Plus, a slew of networking events, including breakfast and lunch discussion groups as well as receptions and refreshment breaks allow attendees to share strategies. In addition, the two-day Expo being held February 27 - 28 will further assist attendees through exposure to HR products and services related to the industry.
After attending the 2011 conference, Karen Wenger, HR/Business Manager at CPS5 The Plaza Hotel in New York, said, "The topics and discussions were very relevant, very useful and very now. I was inspired to bring the great ideas back to my property and implement them."
Registration for the event is now open at www.HRinHospitality.com. Individuals save $350.00 if they register by January 16 and teams of four or more are eligible for even bigger savings.
