Fabric Innovations Extends Corporate Partnership With NEWH
Leading hospitality industry supplier provides support to next generation of hotel professionals through NEWH scholarship and educational offerings
Fabric Innovations, a leading supplier of bedding, drapery and custom fabrics to the hospitality industry, has become a Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) Corporate Partner at the Supporting level for 2012. NEWH, Inc. is the premier networking resource for the hospitality industry, with 18 chapters and 6 regional groups providing scholarships, education, leadership development, recognition of excellence and business development...
"We believe in supporting dynamic industry organizations like NEWH, and place a high value on the importance of giving back to a new generation of women and men seeking to secure their future in the hospitality industry," says Deborah Herman, Fabric Innovations' president. "The relationships developed through networking with NEWH members also serve as invaluable assets for Fabric Innovations and help keep us in an industry leading position."
Herman has been actively involved with NEWH since its inception in 1984, and currently serves as both a board member and International Ambassador. Additionally, the company supports the South Florida NEWH chapter, for which Fabric Innovations' team members Margarita Leon and Jenni Goldstein share Secretary responsibilities and Monique Hernandez serves as Membership Director.
As part of their extended partnership agreement, Fabric Innovations will be launching a drapery continuing education (CEU) program through NEWH this year, in order to add value to the organization and help teach up-and-coming hospitality industry professionals with a focus on interior design. The course will cover diverse topics, from the manufacturing of window treatments to fabrication and property installation.
Aside from providing educational and growth opportunities to upcoming industry professionals, corporate partnership with NEWH features multiple benefits to hospitality vendors, including the ability to participate in regional industry tradeshows with prime booth location. In 2012, NEWH will be holding six tradeshows where manufacturers and service providers can network in an intimate tabletop setting. Fabric Innovations will be showcasing their bedding, drapery and custom fabric offerings at the NEWH show in Bethesda, Maryland on Friday, March 16th, taking place at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
